SAN FRANCISCO GIANTS (LINCECUM) AT ARIZONA DIAMONDBACKS (ENRIGHT) 1:10 PM PACIFIC

The San Francisco Giants have been one of the hottest teams in baseball lately, and the Arizona Diamondbacks have been anything but.  Since much of sports betting is figuring out who is in good form and who isn’t, that sets us up for a nice position on this game.  San Francisco has pulled into second place in the NL West by winning 15 of 21 in July and they’ve won 8 of their last 10.  Arizona, meanwhile, is 6-13 this month and has lost 7 of 10.  Giants have won the first three games of this series outscoring Arizona 20-8 and it won’t get any easier for the home team today with San Fran sending Cy Young champ Tim Lincecum to the hill.  Arizona’s Barry Enright has pitched well in four starts this year (2-2 2.66 ERA) but Lincecum gets much better run support from the Giants (8 of his 9 road starts have gone OVER the total) and San Francisco has won 8 of his 10 road starts this year.  Plus, the D-backs bullpen has been awful and there’s always the possibility that Enright could pitch well and see his work go to waste when Arizona’s gas can toting relief corps (6.53 ERA) enters the game.  With San Diego still winning and the Dodgers fading the NL West race has become a two team contest and the Giants aren’t in a position to let up at this point.  They’ll keep the heat on the Padres by once again beating an Arizona team that they’ve dominated in head to head play this year (6-2).
